Fire was quickly extinguished. 403 & 421 responded. 9 men present. Dispatched 20:20 / En Route 20:20 / On Scene 20:26 / In Service 20:37 Fire alarm activation on Rt 89 between Leader & Fayette-Varick Townline Road. False trip, but was determined to be in Canoga’s district. 6 men present – 403 cancelled en route Dispatched 21:21 / En Route 21:21 / On Scene xx:xx / In Service 21:24 Reported unattended burn on Old Route 96. Units on scene could not locate anything burning. Found a mercury vapor light that may have been the source of the call-in. 403 on apron. 8 men present. Initial units on scene confirmed the initial dispatch. Mutual aid from Varick, Romulus, Waterloo, Seneca Falls, Magee, and Canoga helped to extinguish the fire. Fayette Highway Department provided a Grade-All to expose hot spots.
