Adding in the dinners served for the Dickenson family benefit, we served close to 3700 dinners over 8 […] The fish dinner prep meeting originally scheduled for tomorrow, February 15th, at 6PM has been cancelled due to the Dickenson family benefit dinner prep later on in the week. Over the last few years the fish dinners have been gaining in popularity far beyond our imaginations could have predicted. With the increase in meals served, the support staff must also be increased to sustain the level of service that our patrons have come to expect. This Friday, November 18th will be the Annual Ham & Turkey Party at the Fayette Fire Department. The festivities will start at 6:30PM. We will have munchies (chili, cheese & crackers, etc) as well as refreshments! Come join us and see if you can win a ham or turkey!! We would like to thank everyone who came out to support the FFD during this year’s Fish Fry. We served an average of 414 meals a night with 3 nights at or above 450 meals served! We couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you! We will be firing up the fryers […] Last year we all sat down before the dinners started and had a very good discussion on how to prepare for and carry out the fish dinners. We feel that this meeting is what lead to the increasing success of these dinners as a whole. Everyone did a fantastic job last year throughout the dinners. |
